- My data is organized by a project(s) or lab
- I have a PI/Project Sponsor who is employed by Princeton University
- The data I store will not need to be immediately used on compute nodes of the HPC clusters
- My data does not require heavy read/write processes
- No personal, sensitive or confidential information is included in my data
Assign project roles
Data Sponsor

A Data Sponsor is required for project requests. A Data Sponsor is the primary person responsible for a TigerData project, including oversight of the other project roles, the data contained within the project, and the metadata associated with the project. Data Sponsors are usually Principal Investigators (PI), in other words, a long-standing member of the University. PI qualification can be determined by referencing the qualification chart.
Data Manager

A required TigerData project role. Data managers act as stewards of a TigerData project as they are the person responsible for managing the data day to day. This user is required to undergo TigerData training related to data management.
Data User

Anyone who should be granted access to the project other than the data sponsor and data manager. Data users can have read/write or read only access.
Establish your project details
- Project Title: A meaningful title for the project that is relevant to the contents
- Project Description: A brief description of the contents, aimed toward potential re-use
- Department: The main department(s) the data is related to
- Project Purpose: Identify if your data is research data, administrative data or library archive
- Directory: What the folder path looks like when accessing your data (i.e., /tigerdata/[PI or group]/[project name)
- HPC Access: Let us know if you currently utilize HPC clusters for processing
- Quota requirements: How much storage space is anticipated to be needed?
